Rare George III period (circa 1800) Spode “Lady Beauclerk” drabware jug, decorated with applied bacchanalian putti and a satyr, with fruiting vine border, C scroll handle, and impressed mark to base.

Lady Diana Beauclerk, some times referred as “the scandalous lady Di”, was an 18th century society lady and artist, who provided Spode and Wedgwood with drawings some of which were used in their designs,such as this charming pitcher.
